  • Aspects of Divinity

In Bhagavad-gita, Krishna sometimes speaks from the 1st person, sometimes - from the 3rd person, other times - it seems like He's quoting some other scriptures. Why is it so?

    - We never claim that we understand who is Krishna.
    - The word "God" invokes Judeo-Christian God. Saraswati Thakur preferred "Godhead".
    - If you think that Krishna in His pastimes is not a human-like, but human - it's going to be a disastrous thing.
    - First accept: Achintya shakti - the inconceivable potency.
    - Wherever there is an individual soul, a jiva-soul - paramatma is accompanying it.
    - Paramatma does not interfere with the free will of the jiva.
    - The neutral position of Krishna is paramatma. But when it comes to devotion - He is not neutral.
    - When you do something that catches all world's attention - that's almost divine - cause for that moment it personifies the supreme.
    - When you see the best of something or something in nature: moonlight, sunlight - it's a way of seeing Krishna.
    - Brahma, praying to Krishna, says to Him: "Aren't You my father?"
    - Krishna can speak from some other position, but actually, "He is everything".
